Allegedly, pictures will be compressed according to the active setting, but I haven't noticed any difference between these pre-sets (neither visible nor in file size). For convenience purposes you can also select between four pre-set image quality settings. You can also set up a document password and a permissions password. You can add in standard document properties such as Title, Author and Subject. PrimoPDF allows you to set up specific parameters which will be used for everyconvertion. Either way, your file will be converted immediately and the new pdf file will be placed in the same folder as the original. option from the Windows contextual menu and navigate to where PrimoPDF is located. To perform conversions you will need to drag the desired file over PrimoPDF's dektop icon, or if you are brave enough, you can use Open With. The application window is only used to set up conversion parameters. The process is fairly simple although not very ergonomic. PrimoPDF is designed to convert office files such as written documents and spreadsheets to pdf. The problem though is that Adobe Reader, the free software used for viewing this format does not allow neither editing nor conversion. So converting your document to PDF will always give an air of professionalism. The PDF (portable document format) is now a universally accepted medium for digital documents.
Re-sending a document because of format incompatibility might prove embarrassing if not catastrophic in some instances.
We sometimes need to send over document files and make sure they can be properly read on the other side.
